I would love to know what the DB changes were instead of recreating, I could change the DB on the current games myself, and manually edit anything applicable.

edit: Ignore what I said just saw in 5.56 the link to the db changes thanks for that.

However with me I only needed to change the first link. It looks fine other then that.

Aww, I just started my new campaign. Ah well, updates will have to wait...

Use the 5.56 patch. It's the same, minus the couple db fixes and the new themes.

Are there release notes for this patch, in terms of bugs fixed, etc?

The list of bugs will be anything I posted in the Bugs thread since the last release, but there isn't a specific location where they are all listed.

Important! This is a database patch so if you upgrade you will lose your saved game. Don't upgrade if you want to keep playing the same campaign.

This patch can only be applied to version 4.2 or later. To apply the patch just unzip the Aurora560.zip file into the installation directory, overwriting two files. This patch is primarily for bug fixes, although there are four new themes and an updated Swedish commander names theme.

Note: I am also releasing a v5.56 patch at the same time, which will have virtually the same version of the game but won't contain the new themes and is missing a couple of database-related bug-fixes. If you use the other patch, you won't lose your saved games but you may still encounter the bugs that are fixed in this patch.

This database in this patch contains my current Aurora campaign as an example game.
