Create a colony (SM race, "add colony", no special SM function there), then look at that colony on the economics window. Switch to the terraforming tab, enter the number of the gas you want as normal, but instead of "save ATM" hit "SM set atm"

How can I terraform Mars in SM mode?

I couldn't create an empire on Mars because it was not suitable for an empire.  How to make it suitable with SM mode?

You need to have a race that finds Mars suitable. Default humans don't. So you'll need to create a race via SM Mode.

Start the game as normal.
go to sm mode.
go to the f9(system information) screen.
click on earth.
press create empire button, repeat as needed. this will create multiple races on planet earth.

That is if they all start on Earth. You can have a faction start on Mars, Venus, Luna, Titan, etc. All you need to do is select the system body and create empire.

You can also select the default race (ctrl-R) and set to SM Race, then generate a system and create empire there. Then you have 2 (or more) empires that do no necessarily know each other.

from there the mechanics of ordering each race around requires you to select the race on the various information screen you wish to make an order on before pressing the increment time button.

Hello there i believe this goes in the a academy because it is a fairly noobish (i believe) question but i was interested in doing some rping and figured that a multi-faction start would be the best way to go about it. So i was wondering how i go about it?
