Got some; unfortunately, photobucket resizes, so this may be the best you'll get. This is probably the smallest battle I've been in so far this game.
Picture 1- Several months after conquering the homeworld and two in-system colonies of the Sian Republic (a race of meter-long catapillars), my survey ships detected hostiles- an additional Sian combat fleet that had been out in the furthest reaches of the system, and only now was on approach to try and liberate the planets. I immediately responded, sending my three scattered fleets on an interception course. The secondary carrier fleet arrived first, at a distance of 50m km, and scrambled all fighters. They were armed with "Swarmslayer" Long Range Seeker ASMs- meaning they have on-board sensors to acquire new targets when the initial contact is lost. They're designed specifically to take out large groups of FAC and small gunboats.
Picture 2- The fighters split into two wings and launched their missiles at the first two groups of enemy craft. Here, the missiles are about to impact.
Picture 3- Missile impact. At least one ship in each group was destroyed. The Swarmslayers will continue tracking the next closest targets until there's nothing left to track (or they all impact.) They will then wait for new targets to come in range until they run out of fuel. The enemy fleet was very tight knit- this one wave of ASM may take half of it out.
