Yep. They are.

I usually turn 'em off. Big waste of resources for no gain- not even tech or minerals.

I met (and finally blew away) a strange fleet consisting of a rather huge, and I mean huge, ******** and dozens of ********. They didn't leave a single wreck to salvage! I suppose these bugs are spoilers and not a bug?

Thanks! I've read about that somewhere. Is it confirmed that it's caused by precursors? Does it affect precursor space fleets too?

If you get attacked by robotic defenders, just defend and let them kill themselves attacking you. The bug only happens if you attack them. It's fixed in the next version.

Yeah, but you may want to be careful attacking them- there's a bug where after you defeat them, your whole planet surrenders to the non-existant enemy.

Best solution is to drop troops and let them defend instead.

BTW, you think the Precursors are bad, you should see some of the other spoilers...
By the way, with the exception of Precursors, all other spoiler races always use the same picture on the diplomacy screen.

So the dreaded Precursors are actually dead xenophobe and heavily armed ladies with funny rubber bulges on their foreheads.

You met the Precursors in space before you triggered any robotic defenders. And all instances of the spoilers are the same race. So once you identify them, you can change their designation so you can easily see who they are again.

Wherever you go, ancient murderous robots will be the same ancient murderous robots.

I had an engineer brigade dig up some old stuff, when they unearthed some rusty robotic defenders. Nothing too serious, they just sat tight and waited for the cavalry. Some time later my assault brigade landed and attacked the bots. Which are now identified as "Assault Battalion #7183 (Amazons)", with the Amazons (my designation) being a race of xenophobe and heavily armed ladies with funny rubber bulges on their foreheads. I met the Amazons a while ago in a totally different system, i.e. they don't even live in the neighborhood of my dig at all. Is it a bug?
