unless you have the dev password you can't necessarily do much to/with the NPRs.

one thing you can do is export the logs from the log screen, the text file created will show NPR messages as well as your own so you can see whats going on.

So I had this game. I discovered an NPR. I used my brilliant idea of probing the NPR to keep track of them. My turn lengths got crippled right then. I destroyed my probes and moved away from their system. (this took a while) That didn't work. A year of 1 day turns later, I gave up and went for my last ditch attempt of 'delete race'. (after backing up the database -- the WRONG database  :-X why why why are there TWO large files named stevefire.mdb?) Three days after I hit the delete button, the game switched to 10s turns, then I could play normally again.

My question is: What happened??  All I can figure is two races I didn't know of were preparing to slug it out (over a ridiculously long period of time), and I just happened to wreck my game before they finally killed each other.

EDIT: Half a month later it's back to 1 day turns. Argh.

EDIT2: Apparently 'delete race' doesn't actually WORK??
