Just copy Stevefire.mdb into another directory.
Personally, I re-name the file to Stevefire.mdb.Jan-2053, for example

As for automatism, your´re in luck. Erik has put together a launcher/backup utility. You can find it here:

no there's no backups, unless you make one.

fixing a database would have to be done manually by editing it. :|

I was playing Aurora, and suddenly I got a BSOD. After a reboot my aurora database seams broken, I get endless error popups after any action. Is there any way to restore my game? maybe there is some hidden backup a few increments ago? or any tool to fix the database?
