OK, but how do you actually "send a ship"?  I'm assuming if a ship is broken down, it is in space, in between two destinations.

Ex.   Earth to Mars:  You can send a ship to Earth or to Mars, but if the ship broke down in transit, what do you do?

please note that if you have an important broken component (such as your engine) it might be difficult to fix, as repairs to destroyed components cost 2x what they cost to 'maintain'.  so it's possible for your ship to be unfixable. in which case you either need to tractor it, have a carrier scoop it up, or abandon it.

I'd recommend a dedicated supplyl ship, one with a lot of supply capacity.

Send a ship, join them up in a fleet, share supplies.  Or transfer manually.

It's early game. . .  I don't have any supply ships.   Can I send a survey ship or something to deliver some maintenance supplies?  How do I do that?
