Each species has its own population (colony) on a system body. Those populations reproduce normally, each to their own race. (On a side note, this is an amusing way to use specialized civ-admins.) You don't need a modification station after the modifications have been done.

Of course, I've never actually done any GM myself, so take my words with a grain of salt. :p

I've been working on the wiki and realised there's no full description for Genetic Modification.  I've done a little of it myself, but wanted to know what the full mechanics are.  For example, if an entire population is of a new species (say Martian with low gravity tolerance), do they reproduce as martians? Or are further increases in population made up of the parent race? DO you need a Modification Station there forever more?
