Ah well, just hoped there would be another option, I've almost got a finished design for a proper carrier, so I guess I'll use that.

Also 2 mins was just a guess, I have no idea what firing delays fighters get.

My current fighter design is uses 0. 5x size lasers and is designed to be as fast as possible, to be able to keep up with missiles.

There are some precursors in a nearby system, I think I'm going test them there.  If automated PD defences aren't affected by TFT then it shouldn't be a problem.

A spaceborne carrier for training duties :)

It can be a very slow and ill equipped hangar barge if you want to keep costs down.

IIRC, TFT doesn't actually matter much for missile defence.

You can do better than 2 minutes for beam fighters though, I suggest using a smaller 0.75x mult laser.

So, I decided to try building laser fighters for anti missile duty, mainly for protecting a planet from bombardment.

However, since having a 2 minute firing-delay while fighting missiles is quite bad, I need to get their TF-training to max, and there is my problem.

Since fighters are trained inside their carrier and my carrier is a ground based PDC, I can't start the TF-training.

What's the best way to solve this?  ???
