I know I would love to be able to set the ruins race, size and tech.  Obviously the name if it already existed would set the tech level.  If possible having a ruin you set to a specific tech then ask you if you want it to be an existing race, or create a new one, or random.  This would still leave some mystery in it while allowing more control for players trying to set up a specific scenario.

to assign them a name or give them the same name as other ruins in game. either or both would be wonderful.

On the same matter, the option to edit the size of the ruins/the number of available installations would be cool too.

Assigning ruins to be the same as an existing set would be to quote a certain ex Lord-mayor of London....  "Very NIIIIIICE"

I like this idea, and to add to it maybe in addition to the robots there could be a tiny chance of "waking" the civilization itself. Think Shadows in Babylon 5.

Do you mean give them a specific name, or assign them the same civ name as another set of ruins?
