I have a problem getting this to work in a special case.

I have a ship with a resolution 1 and 100 fire control and 2 size 9 missile launcher and 1 size 1 missile launcher. Normally everything works perfect, but now I have meet an enemy with size 750t ships my resolution 100 fire control can't see so I need to use the resolution 1 fire control. I change it, assign the 9ML to it, set a target copy to the entire fleet etc. and everything looks perfect. Then when I move a turn forward in times, it resets everything? And the 9ML is back on the R100 fire control and have no target :(

Is there something that overrules commands or what am I doing wrong?

EDIT: I have solved it, it was the blank point defence that made it all behave strange.
EDIT2: No, it is back to acting weird...

F8

Set up one ship. Then there is a button midway up/down on the right. Should say something like Copy to Class. Click that. All ships of that class will have the same setup.

I'm going to assume you're talking about the combat assignments overview window and you're talking about assigning weapons to fire controls, missiles to tubes, target to fire controls and so on.

1) In the combat overview window you have copy assign to TF/System/Race. This copies missile assignment to launchers and weapons assignment to fire control of the currently selected ship to all ships of this class in the TF/System/Race. Copy targets works in similar ways.
2) Not that I know of.

Now that I think about it, are you using "ships" screen or "combat overview" screen for combat? Because you should use the second, it's much better and more versatile.

Hey all, more newb questions :)

1) If I have 10 identical war ships are there a way to set them up all at once?
2) Can this be done in the design ship, so all new ship have the correct set-up from they are build?
