I have noticed a tech that allows me to make high radiation warheads at the expense of blast damage. Obviously as listed in the tech window this is used for making ground population bombs. But I wondered about another use for ship to ship hits.

Do crew about ships suffer from radiation damage or are they only killed when a component they are working at (all those guys loading the missile tubes) is destroyed? If crew are effected like population then do ships provide full protection from radiation?

My main thinking is a high radiation warhead could be used to kill off a ships crew allowing a boarding party to easily take the ship for use in reverse engineering etc.
