Game abandoned  :'( Pity, I was doing well. Surely there's a way to sort this out. Steve?

Exact same thing happened to me in my last game.
I had 3 or more NPR's and all 3 spoiler races so it may be something with the amount of data Aurora has to process and keeps cutting turns short to prevent program freezeing or smth like that.

So why would it stop when I delete Bernard's star?

How well surveyed was Barnard's Star? There might be a JP that a NPR opened up after your grav survey was complete. There might have been a wormhole open (though I believe that triggers an interruptable event), Precursor ships near a JP causing a reaction? Maybe even NPR traffic through the system outside your scan range.

Also, do I recognise that name from PI?

PI?

Thanks for the reply.

No it's not NPRs I'm using SM mode, which would tell you that. The time intervals are 2 hours to 1 day, most of which stop play, even with auto turns ticked.

It's head wrecking.

It may not be NPRs fighting, but it could be NPRs doing other things.

Hmm. Well, that was the only idea I had, so I'm just as stumped. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

My first thought was maybe that two NPRs were fighting in an unexplored system, but I'm not sure whether that would cause interrupts or not.

If that is indeed what's causing it, though, unfortunately I don't think there's anything to be done other than wait it out.

My current game is encountering repeated interrupts. I made a copy of the database and entered SM mode and started deleting the explored systems one by one, then running the game to see if the interrupts would stop. I started on the farthest systems from Sol and just kept going. I finally discovered it was Bernard's star, a system adjacent to Sol. It's a path to much of my empire. I've put 3 DSTSs on my colony there and I've re-visited every body in the system with a fleet (active sensors on), to ensure that there's no installations causing the issue. NOTHING!

So I'm stumped. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

I hope someone can help me with this. It's driving me crazy, I'm considering just abandoning the game.
