This game is an amazing accomplishment for a single developer.

Yep.  (Literally) decades of work.

As for the issue you noticed, think of it as a feature rather than a bug if that makes your life better :)

No problem. I'm just an inveterate bug reporter. It's better to report (NOT complain) that to let something go unmentioned.

I'd say it's more of a "not gotten around to changing the way it was originally done" :)

True but VB6 was used for developing many many windows applications back in the day. I understand that Steve originally started this project as a way of motivating himself to learn VB6. I'm guessing that there's something he's doing that is causing this as other VB programs I used back in the day didn't have that issue.

Aurora changes the colors when you open the maps. Due to some oddness in VB6, it changes globally. The values are returned to normal once Aurora closes.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

I was able to get the colors to revert but I'm still curious why it happens. Is this some bug that hasn't been addressed? It seems like something that could be fixed.

That only happens when you open the system map or the galactic map. Just exit Aurora via the menu, and the colors will revert.

OK It may be corny (yellow get it?  ;D) but when Aurora 4 is running, important text in my other Windows (8.1) applications goes yellow (Spreadsheet commands, browser window commands, etc)

It makes using a spreadsheet while Aurora 4x is running difficult. Is this something I can change?
