I was wondering how far the "Staff gives Bonus" function reaches. For example, if I would assign a Captain to a ship which transports a geological survey team to a planet, would his ability for "Survey Bonus" in any way add to the teams performance?
Logically I would say it does not - but who knows... .
On the other hand if I assign a Captain to a Carrier who has "Fighter Combat Bonus"... it would make sense that his ability leads to a better performance of his fighters.
Another example: Sector Governors are, according to the Wiki, sharing the Bonuses Factory Production, Ground Unit Construction, Mining, Population Growth, Research, Shipbuilding, Terraforming by 1/4 with all Planets in the Sector. However as Planetary Administrators also have Logistics, Wealth Creation and Political Stability Bonus, the Wiki does not state that the Sector Governors also share these three with the Planets. Is that correct or just a missing info in the Wiki?
So generally asked: is there a sharing of abilities other than from staff officers?
