You can use the SM Mods option on the Economics window to move installations and minerals, etc between populations. Then delete the one you don't need.

Also good to know, though I kind of like CMCs.  Better to spend the infinite wealth resource than finite fuel setting up mines and mass drivers.

It's a good idea to always do that, regardless of what you're doing. There is no harm in creating empty colonies. A colony on a body also prevents a CMC from popping up on it.

Yeah I'll need to remember to make colonies before giving orders next time, thanks.

No merge button currently, I think it is a feature for the next version.

If you create a colony on Luna and Mars first, and then select that to unload to, then you shouldn't have the issue of two colonies being created

So I had a hybrid freighter/colony ship load colonists and infrastructure at Earth then unload them to Luna, then repeat for Mars, which resulted in each body having 2 colonies, 1 with infrastructure and the other with colonists.  Couldn't figure out how to merge them so I deleted the colonists to avoid wasting the infrastructure minerals.  Is there no way to merge or was I missing the button? Is it an intended feature for 7. 2/8?
