Help with squadron jump

Hey everyone.

I am having some trouble getting squadron jumps to work for my fleet.

I have a fleet that is broken down into a few separate sub-fleets that I am trying to get to jump without success.

The fleet has the following structure:

Cruiser Squadron III
Escort Squadron I
Escort Squadron II
Escort Squadron III

The beam squadrons have 1x DEJ, 2x DE
The escort squadrons have 1x DEJ, 3x DD
The cruiser squadrons have 1x CJ, 3x CA, 3x Scout fighters (docked)
The ship designs are the at the end of the post.

If I select the entire fleet and select squadron transit I get the error that there is no jump drive capable of escorting the fleet through the jump point.  If I select squadron transit by sub-fleet my fleet is broken into multiple parts and it still doesn't jump.  Specifically:

• The escort and beam squadrons are detached into their own fleets
• The cruiser squadrons stay in the parent fleet
• I get an error for each cruiser squadron that there is no available jump drive capable of escorting the sub-fleet
• Nothing jumps

I don't understand two things here.  First is squadron transit by sub-fleet really the right command here? Do I have to have my fleet in sub-fleets where there is exactly the right ratio between jump tenders and ships?

Second, why doesn't the jump work? There are 3 cruisers for each jump cruiser, I have squadron size of 4, and the fighters are docked so shouldn't matter.  What am I missing?

There's a known bug that prevents squadron jumps when multiple jump ships are in the same fleet.  It also prevents squad jumps by sub-fleet.  You have to issue the order manually to each jump group.
