Do jumpgates require minerals to build?

Right now, I'm designing my first jump gate construction ship.
I wonder, does it only need the jump gate construction module, or do I need to add cargo space to it, and load it with minerals as well?

They used to require Jump Gate Components, but no longer.

Send the ship to the JP and give it the build order. 6 months later, gate.
