Uploading Word Docs

As the new forum format seems to have swallowed some of the campaign reports, I was going to post them as word document attachments but I can only upload PDF or graphic files. Is there a way to allow the upload of ZIP or DOC files? Or does anyone know if there is a free way to convert Word to PDF?

Word 2007/2010 has a PDF/XPS exporter. Might have to download it from MS.

Open Office (free) can convert to PDF also.
