My preference would be to leave it to RPing.

That or just apply the manufacturing percentage penalty for non imperial populations to the shore leave recovery rate to reflect crews not being quite so relaxed in a slightly hostile environment.

You will be able to use orbital habitats for the population requirement. I'm sure players will find inventive names for such ships.

It's not imminent. We got the keys to a new house on Saturday and have been moving boxes all weekend. The furniture is being moved a week tomorrow, although we also have to fit in a 4-day trip to the UK before then :). And then there is work as well, so not much time for programming at the moment.

Depending on the civilization, I could imagine soldiers enjoying a shore leave composed of captured women chained to the wall.  Just sayin', shore leave only needs to be enjoyable for one side to be effective.

Well, I can wait that long.
Regarding all the discussions about sexual assaults on captured populations, there's probably a lot more to shore leave than that, not to speak of other conditions.
The Atmosphere might be toxic and the captured populaceconsist of spikey balls oozing venomous acid;
Maybe aside the productivity modifier, it should also be affected by the colony habitability, maybe reducing efficiency by 10% relative for every multiplier higher than 1?

Not at the moment. NA planets have to move regularly because of the movement system. It's more of a 'nice to have' feature in Aurora. It would improve Aurora though so I'll add it to the list.

Well, then give it another month, guess a release date in late autumn, and call it officially 6.0.^^ Add a "beta" so you can still refine it for the next year X-D.

If the moving system is too taxing, adding an option to move planets every 1 days if there are ships in the system would do?
