Addendum: why if Hyper technology has been removed in 6.x, in the Research panel I can research the Hyper Drive Size Multipier 1.5 technology?

Because it will eventually come back. Just don't research it?

per Steve in the v6 change discussion several months back:

At the moment hyper drives aren't in 6.00. I just haven't got around to adding them back into engine design.
