i keep getting the following error when starting the wrapper:

directupload. net/file/d/3649/jwgoi23y_png. htm

any ideas?

edit: for some reason a space keeps being added after each ".  ", so just remove them to get to the site

after your update avira-free-antivirus reports the wrapper as a wrong positive.

On the bright side though, Aurora seems to work fine so far.

I know.
I would suggest getting some proper AV software.

All AV warnings all false positives. That is problem with Py2EXE that I use for packing. Currently all 32bit binaries made with with are marked as malware on some garbage AV software.

Except i'm using MSE, and am also getting smacked with virus warnings.  You seem to be essentially calling all AV software "Garbage" at this point?
Try looking into some different packer at least, maybe.  I dunno.
Thanks for packing this stuff all in the first place, at least.

No. I call MSE, Avast and McAfee a garbage.

There is no other Python packer that meet my needs.

Not for first time Py2EXE have this problem - Sooner or later it will be fixed.

6.43 package was remade.
Vastly decreased number of AV that detect launcher as generic malware.

Works fine on my desktop and then for some reason on my laptop, the aurora_wrapper. exe. manifest doesn't seem to be a runnable thing, getting rid of the . manifest part makes it a corrupt exe that won't run.  Both are windows 8. 1 64bit.

Because aurora_wrapper.exe.manifest is not executable...
