I could not preview this reply. During the slowdown there was a trick to click on "Re:[thread name]" to see a preview, but it doesn't work anymore now. Anyway, it is a minor issue. I can live without it.

and I can't seem to start new threads, I get some kind of error message every time I try

Preview and new threads work great for me.  So yeah, witchcraft :P

Only bit of news I'm looking for is whatever happens with the backups.  Happy as a clam either way.

Maybe it's an effect of the Naughty/Nice list.  Do you know which one you're on?
