I tested this a few months ago, you'll get back drives, sensor, magazine, firecontrol, missile launchers, and fuel.

Scrapping only returns a few of the components, I don't recall which ones off the top of my head.

You can get almost everything back except for armor, crew quarters, fuel tanks, bridge, hanger, and engineering space.

You only get any intact parts of the ship. However, you can repair the damage ship in any shipyard and then scrap it, netting you a fully functional ship with every module.

I believe you will not, but I'm only 55% sure of that.  Try it and find out; then come back and tell us, please.

If I scrap a ship with a shipyard that has a damaged, say, active sensor, will I still recover that sensor?

Thanks.
