[ooc]I would like to point out that under current law, no one will be running for president as all candidates must declare their intention to run by June 1, and it is July 1 right now. I think that no one will contest the suggestion that we allow candidates to declare this late anyway and pretend that they did it a month ago.

I would also like to point out that all candidates will have to declare their intention to run tomorrow. [/ooc]

[ooc]If anyone cares, it is the exact same date in real life today as it is in-game. It is July 1 in both the Aurora version and the real life version of life. Of course, In-game it is 53 years in the future, but who cares?[/ooc]

[ooc]OOC:  Happy Canada Day, my corporate brothers.

And no, I have no intention of running for President - though I'll endorse the candidacy of anyone who's willing to keep me on as Minister for Technology.[/ooc]

Well, Dr.Vendar, I have to say that your endorsement would've meant very little indeed even before the transfer of power occurred as I have always been the only candidate, and I would like to think that perhaps you have a better reason to stay on as Technology Minister, so I invite you to submit a formal application to my campaign headquarters.
