Thanks for the clarification all!

I misinterpreted this hxxp: aurora2. pentarch. org/index. php?topic=10756. msg124849#msg124849

Anyone know what part of the database I need to copy over to keep my settings?

And given that this isn't a bug what's forum etiquette here (excuse me I'm new) delete this thread? Can I mark it as 'solved' somehow?
You can change the message icon to Topic Solved, and it puts a green checkmark as the icon. I've done that for your topic :)

Great to know thanks!

ProblEm Between Keyboard And Chair (user error)

Sorry for the idiotic pedantry, but this bugged me.

Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair
Thanks, I was half guessing because I've usually seen it as PBCAK (Problem Between Chair and Keyboard).

PBCAK is just less elegant to pronounce imo.

Naw it's still pronounced the same way.

The function number
NA
The complete error text
NA
The window affected
The Events Window (and the events display on the system map)
What you were doing at the time
Trying to read my events window
Conventional or TN start
Both
Random or Real Stars
Both
Is your decimal separator a comma?
No
Is the bug is easy to reproduce, intermittent or a one-off?
Easy for me to reproduce - but others seem not to get it
If this is a long campaign - say 75 years or longer - let me know the length of the campaign as well
Applies in short and long campaigns (max tested 120 years)

Version: 1. 12
When I start a new game the color settings for events (both background color and text color) aren't saved and need to be re-done.

Steps to reproduce:
1.   Start a new game.
2.   pass 30 days.
3.   Open events window and select a background color for 'inactive labs' event.
4.   Save game (might not be needed)
5.   begin a new game
6.   pass 30 days
7.   Open events window

Expected result:
new 'inactive labs' event has your saved background color
Actual result:
New 'inactive labs' event has no background color

I'm not certain this is a bug rather than a PEBKAC issue - because it seems other's aren't experiencing it.   If that means this should be in another subforum I apologize!

Not a bug - background colors are specific to the game your playing. If you start a new game the colors get reset to default. This seems to be exactly what's happening to you.
And I've got no clue what PEBKAC is.

Sounds like PEBCAK indeed. Event colors are saved for each empire, so if you begin a new game, you'll have a new empire with it's own new event color scheme.

Edit - added (NOT A BUG) to title given clarifications.
