I found my first dormant construct! On a 1.98g planet. (It would be a beautiful, almost perfectly habitable world if it was just 0.08g lower).

So I can't land a population there. I mean, maybe if I conquer some slightly-higher-g aliens at some point? But for the time being nothing doing.

Could I perhaps activate the constructs by deploying sufficient orbital habitats over the planet?

yeah, I think orbital habitats are your only option here
To beam, or not to beam.   That is the question
the answer is you beam. and you better beam hard.

I think genetic modification is another possibility. Can't remember if you can GM species grav rating or not but I am pretty sure you can.

Isn't species genetic modification not implemented in C# Aurora?

Yeah, it is not. Maybe the one that affects soldiers is though? Probably not  ;D

I've seen posts from people using genetically augmented soldiers.

Genetic species design is not implemented yet in Aurora C#, genetic augmentation as a ground unit option is available but would not help the colonists

There is definitely a GM research option that is supposed to affect infantry, however I am not sure it works or not.

That is unfortunate of the population scale GM feature is not yet implemented, that would seem an ideal solution bro this problem.

GM for infantry works, it increases hit points.

Something not discussed is using SM to reduce the gravity by . 08g.

Or building a whole pile of genetic modification centres (which, as mentioned, do nothing at the moment) and using SM to increase the species grav tolerance.

Personally, I think I'd be assigning a terraforming fleet to the planet and reducing the body's gravity by 0.01g per year.

Something also not discussed is conquering a species that has higher gravity tolerance and using them as lab rats.

I mentioned that option (and its current inaccessibility) in the initial post.
