I'd love to see a ground campaign with ground forces in numbers that huge.

Have much the same feelings about 1.12, but my way of dealing with it is to play as much as possible now before "having" to start over because I know I won't be able to resist using it when it's out.

Popping in a few weeks late, it seems, but wanted to affirm that I'd like to see this continue or see another work started in the same style.  The latter is probably better, seeing as you're about to be very thankful for the ground forces upgrades in 1. 12 here.
In the grand scheme of things you're not too far into the campaign, having explored a dozenish systems and just engaged your first set of Precursors.  That could mean a restart, but it might also not be too difficult to port the campaign to 1. 12 if you're attached to it.
Whatever you choose, I'm really digging the concept arts for ships and ground units, so more of that will always be welcome!  ;D
