I decided to use the 'Culture' name list for my diplomatic ships in a recent... the RNG did not disappoint. Below are the names chosen for the first round of diplo ships:

I love it when the RNG cooperates...

Those names sounds like they would fit Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy universe pretty well. Especially in those roles!
