(OOC, this is 19 years into a conventional start. I also had a rule that I couldn't hold off building ships as the powers to be would be unwilling to be defenseless. Also since the Empire of Man has no concept of space combat outside of theory and fending off poorly planned terror attacks, some of the concepts might be odd to long term players. Also I wanted to show some of the support craft, since everyone post their neat military ships, I thought it would be useful to show off a few generations of ships, including the ships that are in the background doing the heavy lifting so you can get your ships to fight things. )

EMO - EMO is the Iowa based facility to maintain and overhaul the fleet. It can maintain and overhaul ships up to 16,800 tons.
Quartermasters office - the general storage of munitions, fuel, and other parishables is handled though the quartermaster office, and they are spread out across the Earth.
Deep Space Network - there is a 13 strong deep space network on earth. However only six are reserved for earth use, and the rest are being held till locations are identified for the network.
Mars
Utopia Planitia Naval Service Yards - This Facility located at Utopia Planitia can maintain ships up to 2400 tons. It currently also includes a large fuel depot, but that is currently being transferred to the Demos Anchorage. There is talk of upgrading the Service yard to handle the cutlass class style ships.
Demos - Currently consisting of a deep space network sensor and fuel being transferred from Mars. In addition, it will become a forward supply base that will have munition storage. There is a proposal before Parliament for "Fort Demos" which will included armored bunkers and laser turrets.
Deep Space listing posts - In addition to Earth and Demos, the nine private mining ventures and Titan have listening posts. In addition, a listening post at New London is being currently established.
Future plans - In addition to future bases outside of Sol, the Jovian system with its almost 20 million people lacks base investment. It is unsure if this time if it will be placed on Ganymede or on a smaller, currently unsettled minor moon.

Militia
Currently, no ships serve in the Militia, however the plan is to place in most systems of any note (mining or habitation) with a local militia unit that can at least ID the threat, and stop or slow it down enough for the fleet to arrive. Militia ships need to have long maintenance cycles and large amounts of duty station time as sometimes they will be sent to the back end of the empire. At this time the plan is to ID craft no longer suitable for front line service, and then if there is more need, build militia specific ships. Not all ships exiting the main service will be suitable for this duty.
