For someone just getting started with Aurora C# and who didn't play VB6 version, what's the best way to learn how to get started with Aurora? Should I got to VB6 tutorials? Other suggestions? Thanks you! Looking forward to learning the game (not sure if this is a game or more like a simulation).
The best way to learn is to play. However:
considering c# development is just started and the bug fixing may still take good 1 or 2 weeks I would recommend to get VB6 and start there
Due to some change in the mrchanics be focused on TN empire no NPR and just start learning in this order: Ship design, logistic, mineral sustainability, priority researches, exploration, sensors, weapon targeting and search sensors, weapons design.
After all the above I would quickly look into terraforming and how to create colonies in other systems.
This may take you a few years :-)
But if you focus in learning the basics then coming into C# will be still a challenge but you will have to focus only in the new functions mostly just related to logistic (a minor change) refuel (hard change) and ground units (massive change).
