Error preventing me from plaaaay :c - updoot
« on: February 09, 2011, 09:01:37 PM »
This lovely error.    :c

Any idea what's causing it? My decimal system is using periods, and I installed it like it said to do.    (the 4.   91 installation fully and then the 5.   30 patch)

When I don't install the 5.   30 patch I get the error 92 bug that is on the installation page.

*edit* fixed the url so it posts the pic

Did you click OK?

That seems to be a new error Steve gave us in 5.30. Clicking OK should allow the game to start normally.

Yeah, guess the image wasn't entirely clear.

Clicking okay brings me to that point, the top part of the image.   And I can't figure out where to go from there, since there was nothing in the drop down menues, so I assumed it was a bug.

Edit: Huh, thought there would be a graphical interface.  :/ That kind of confused me, maybe you could put a disclaimer to help confused noobs like myself! :D

Right, now I'm getting this error when I try to generate a game.   :/

Error 3201 was generated by DAO. Recordset
You cannot add or change a record because a related record is required in table 'TechSystem'.

It's after the race is generated, before the NPRs are.

Sounds like the generation of your tech or one of the NPRs is effing up somewhere.

Steve is working on another update atm, what you might want to do is uninstall 5.30 and then try to install 5.20 which is more stable.

Alright, though Aurora says it IS 5. 20, up in the corner when I select a new game.  That doesn't seem right :P

That's a known "bug".

Okay, I thought so.

If I have any more problems, should I post them here, in this thread? Or in where. . . ?

Oh boy - there's my cue!!!! :-)

You should post most questions in The Academy.  You should also read the FAQ board, there's one there about "Where to Post?" :-)
