« on: June 24, 2011, 03:33:43 PM »
My wife wanted to see this movie, I am glad I did its awesome, no sex or violence, a historic drama but what a movie, if you need to see a film with your girlfriend/wife and it has to be a drama take this. You will not bee disappointed, well most of you want...

I haven't seen it (yet), but my friend watched it on the plane back from our holiday and she says it deserves every award it received.  Seeing as she teaches film studies and is about as hard to please as it comes with films, that's some praise.

I'd agree with these - fine film, and my wife Annmarie (who specialises in communications & language issues) said the the perfomance of Colin Firth as the stuttering King George VI was particularly realistic, probably the best representation she's seen.
