Thousands of dead bodies float around the orbit of Titan with the wreck of the once great New Tokyo space station as the three unstoppable cruisers of the Storm Industries engage their engines to hunt down the remaining Syndicate ships.
Without ammunition the GSN Asahi and the GSN Ariake had no chance and were soon blown to pieces. This time the survivors were left to die in their escape pods, the time was short and they have to destroy as many Gensei ships as they can.
The fleeing enemy is 21m Km away, but the cruiser squadron led by the SDC Lion has speed advantage. Their fate is likely sealed.
Meanwhile on Mars the good news inspired Mr Storm to get rid of the Gensei Syndicate completely. He made a deal with the ISA, ground operations against Syndicate forces on Mars will be not considered as a violation of the Zone Treaty. Brigadier General Christopher Wong was ordered to launch a full scale invasion to the Syndicate territory.
In the recent years the SIGF (Storm Industries Ground Forces) were rapidly expanded.

The cruiser squadron finally reached the fleeing Syndicate ships and immediately began to wreak havoc among the ships. The slowest of them were the minelayers with only 841 km/s. The Tsugaru and the Okinoshima were destroyed in a matter of seconds.
13th June 2117 8:30 AM
The Main Syndicate Battle Group is in range of the Meson Cannons. All Storm ships targeted the GSN Azuma and after ten munites of the combat the crew of the ship died in flames. Soon after the GSN Wakaba, the last of the Asahi class and the two Dan’yaku class colliers were reduced to dust. It was a massacre...
The last two Kasuga class cruisers, the GSN Kasuga and the GSN Nisshin wre teared apart by the meson projectiles of the SDC ships after few barrages from the heavy and secondary meson batteries. The once proud Syndicate fleet is no more.
They could not pick up all the survivors due to the limited space, but they picked up most of them. The SDC Lion, SDC Jaguar and the SDC Panther then headed for Mars to resupply and repair the damaged Panther.
During the interrogation of the survivors the SDC officers found a top Syndicate scientist among them. He agreed to share his research results on fuel production efficiency (28,000l) for a better treatment.
12th July 2117
The battle for Mars has started. The SIGF pushed the Syndicate forces back lightly. In the same time the two new Minekaze Mk.IIs appeared on the sensors of the SDC Lion. They were eager for revenge. The SDC ships had their shields down, thinking that the Syndicate will engage them not in the Zone.
At 18:54 they opened fire on the damaged Panther in hope that they can destroy it. The SDC Panther has survived the treacherous attack. All ships raised their shield and opened fire from all guns. The Wolfs leaved the hangars and launched their missiles too.
The last two Syndicate warships could not withstand the hail of meson projectiles and were quickly destroyed.
As the Syndicate breched the Zone treaty the SDC had right to repeat fire on all enemy ships. On freighters and other unarmed ships too. The six freighters and two Chosa class geosurvey ships were destroyed. The Gensei Syndicate was defeated in space, now the Storm Industries has to defeat their ground forces on Mars.
17th August 2117
The ground offensive is going well. The ground forces of the Gensei Syndicate will be encircled in a short time. It seems that Mars will be united under Storm rule. So far the SIGF lost the 1st MASH and a Construction Brigade. The Syndicate lost more units, three months after the start of the battle they lost all their Mobile Infantry and Medical Battalions and the Construction Brigades. The last desperate ground troops surrendered on 2nd June 2118 after almost a year of continuous combat. The Syndicate is defeated.
In the captured Command Centre a central computer system was recovered, that guided the Automated mines and Mass drivers on their colonies. It was reprogrammed, so it began to deliver minerals to Storm Industries mass drivers at Mars from the ex-Syndicate colonies.
With the elimination of the Gensei Syndicate the Storm Industries gained all of the remaining installations on Mars and details on all of their research projects. The most welcomed was the capture of 13 undamaged research facilities. The UN and the ISA decided to not intervene in the Martian affairs. With no imminent threat the SDC began the modernization of the Navy based on the Nuclear Pulse Engine.
All three cruisers of the Storm Industries Defence Corps will upgrade to the Lion MkII class Light Cruiser. It features an ECM device reverse engineered from captured Syndicate models.

After the end of the war came a long period of prosperity. The relation of the Storm Industries to the ISA was never better. They were still considered as a neutral faction though.
In 2121 a discovery of huge importance was made by a Storm Industries science team. The team suggested, that around each star could be „warp points“ caused by the huge gravitation of the star. With this discovery interstellar travel is at reach. The science team will continue to develop and test sensors that could reveal these jump points. The discovery is kept in secret until a functional prototype of the jump engine is designed. The ISA is researching the same subject, so they will know about the possibilities of interstellar travel sooner or later.

The propulsion specialists of the ISA have come to the same conclusion as their Storm Industries colleagues. Unlike at Mars, on Earth this scientific breakthrough was not kept in secret. Connor Edwards the leader of the research team was awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery. Many Storm scientists are now angry, because the chance getting the nobel prize fro this scientific breakthrough was given to the ISA.
Another important event linked to this date were the presidential elections. President Harrison did not repeated his success from six years ago and Governor Michael Lynch of the conservative party became the new president of the UN/ISA.
President Michael Lynch:

Highly educated
Stubborn

The scientists were right! A gravitational disturbance was found just inside the orbit of Saturn. Without the sufficient engines, nobody can open this jump point for now. The Storm scientists are working on a prototype, that will be implemented into the Nebula and her sister ships, after she finishes her task.

6th June 2126
The Storm Industries finaly has a functional jump engine. Their delay in the research process was partially caused by the fact, that they discovered other means of jump point stabilisation. Besides the jump engine they could stabilise a jump point by building a giant structure over it, a stargate. An expansion of the current commercial shipyards on Mars is needed before this class can be constructed.

They signed a treaty about the sphere of influence in Sol. The jump points were divided between them. The ISA will control jump points 1. and 4. and expand in that direction. The Storm Industries will do the same with jump points 2. and 3. ( I can’t take a good screenshot of the jump points, because everything is literally spawned by wrecks

The ISS Libra has reached the position of the first gravitational anomaly. Lieutenant Commander Tom Naylor has ordered to activate the jump engine. The ship has started to tremble as the device powered up as expected and opened the jump point before the ship. In the next second the ISS Libra has appeared in another system. The telemetry identified the system as Ross 154. The Libra will return to Sol and transit the fourth jump point. Lieutenant Commander Tom Naylor and Lieutenant Commander Sean Birch commander of the ISS Aquila will be awarded by the ISA’s Order of Merit for their discoveries.
Ross 154 is a single star system with 4 terrestrial planets, one super jovian and plenty of moons and asteroids. Ross 154 A-2 is a terrestrial planet with 2.24 colony cost. The average surface temperature is -64° grades, the gravity is 0.83. The atmosphere is thin, 0.07 pressure. The planet is covered by an ice sheet at the extent of 91%. It is a likely candidate for a future colonisation.
4th April 2127
At 11:30 the ISS Libra executes her second jump. She discovered the system of Wolf 359. The system has two terrestrial planets, two gas giants and 399 asteroids. The second planet of the system is a slightly better candidate for colonization than the planet in the Ross 154 system. The Libra will return home to refuel and she will wait until the Aquila receives her jump engine. They will then head for the Ross 154 system to search after gravitational anomalies. The four Gemini class geosurvey ships (two newly constructed) will conduct survey operations in Sol until the new Edgar Quinet class escort cruisers will be constructed.
The Edgar Quinet class will escort the geological survey ships and will take part in fleet operations, helping the fleet to project force to other systems. The ship will be equippet with the newest laser guns emitting higher frequency near ultraviolet beams.

9th October 2127
The SDC Stellar Storm has transited the second jump point in Sol. The astrometrics indicated, that she has appeared in the system of Proxima Centauri. The system contains two terrestrial planets, one dwarf planet and four gas giants. Plenty of moons and asteroids are present too. The second planet of the system has a colonisation rating of 2.00. It has low gravity of 0.19 and a trace of an atmoshphere, but it will be likely colonised in the future by the Storm Industries.
16th October 2127
The Nebula has arrived in the system of Luyten 726-8, a binary star system. The situation is same as in Proxima Centauri. Two terrestrial planets two dwarf planets, one super jovian and three gas giants. The second planet is colonizable with a rating of 2.60, but it has trace atmosphere and low gravity.
