Been playing a long time now and found out something new today...

Why is there a differens of research points generated on the home system compared to my ET colonies?

Home has a base of 320
My colony 1 jump away has 163.68
I have a sector command of 3 (radius 2)

You probably don't have enough workers to man the research facilities at your colonies. It should say something near the bottom left on the population screen.
