*News intro music, the vid screen turns on to reveal the face of EINS, Trisha Solneski* Smiling and turning to the camera she opens, "Hi,I'm Trisha Solneski and I will be your host for the evening. Tonight we will go over what some my refer to as the fall of Yahoo, the 3 month slaughter. Also, we have reports of not one but two new treaties that have signed on several member nations. Also, a look into recent invader activity. "
"With the recent end to the fighting and consolidation of League forces in what once was lawless California, people are now looking to what next? How many other warlords, pirates and criminals have access to old silos or nuclear weapons? Just looking for an excuse to deploy them on innocent people? Well if even half of the old world missiles survived, its enough to reduce the earth to a radioactive wasteland. Many people believe that just getting off earth will solve all our issues, some feel that building some kind of missile defense base would fix the problem. We have an interview with a top scientist for global weather analysis, Professor George Marvin. "
*The screen splits and an older gentlemen, lacking quite a bit of white hair with small pair of reading glasses appears. *
"So Professor Marvin, I understand you have been studying the environmental impacts of this last war and have come to some startling conclusions?"
"Why yes Trisha we have. While the Coalition only fired off a few missiles, our estimates range from 8 - 12, they threw up over 60 units of radiation and dust into the atmosphere. While most people never felt the effects of that, it did drop the average global temperature by a slight amount. That is startling considering these missiles are antiques compared to what is rumored to be around nowadays. Should there be a large scale nuclear war on earth, in the range of only a few hundred missiles. It could wipe out life on earth as we know it. "
"Thank you professor, you have been most insightful. "
"Your welcome Trisha. " *The screen closes and the news room takes the full screen again. *
"There you have it folks, should any madmen with nukes decide they dont like someone, could be very bad for everyone. "
She shifts her papers and moves on, "Our next story is a bit more hopeful. Several counties have signed on both for the International SolSpace Treaty, and for the New Trade League. These two treaties guarantee the rights and freedoms of nationalities within Sol Space and a common trade and defense should anything go wrong out in the wide open space. These new treaties show a new sign of cooperation and friendship between the nations!"
"Last but not least, we have had some disturbing reports around the globe of increased invader activity. As you know not all of them are destroyed as of yet as many are in hiding. With the lack of organized governments in most earth regions, they continue to go unhunted. Several small towns have been destroyed in various parts of the globe, a new trend? We shall keep you updated as more information filters in. "
"This has been your EINS broadcast, I'm Trisha Solneski, signing out. "
