Hi everyone. After a bit of thinking about this, i decided to write an AAR of the current game. To say this game is peculiar is somewhat reductive, since i'm only responsible for imputting instructions and effectively running the turn. Every strategic decision is handled by fellow players, in a roleplay style, ranging from the Rigid Democracy of the USA to the Ordered-1984-like Socialism of Oceania.
This means that production, research, shipbuilding and the general strategic course of the nation are all decided by players in "turns".
Since the game has been running for 9 years now in-game, i'll only post about the most important events that happened and then proceed to a quick recap of the situation (by then, we will probably reach the beginning of 2040, 10 years in the game).
The starting setup had 10 major nations. 7 ranging from Superpower to Middle power levels remain on earth, albeit two of those are decaying very harshly in influence, and can be expected to either be integrated or annexed soon by the other powers. Minor powers are not included in this count.
But, remain on earth does not exclude alien player controlled races, and as always who knows what do the stars harbor...
Finally, i have to point out that some informations will have to be omitted, because the players could be reading the AAR and sensitive information they were not supposed to know. So, hands down from that survey report, let alone the number of installations or even ruin presence on a planet! Of course, the more open the society of a nation, the higher the risks of a leak...but don't expect sensitive info on Russian stuff. That's for sure.
This will be like being a common citizen of a nation on earth, so i hope you are not hit by a nuke this will be a nice and new insight on a campaign!
This afternoon i'll be posting the first chapter, which covers the end of the middle east as a political powderkeg...mainly because after the deflagration no fuel remained.
