I'm not very good at Aurora, but I'm a big fan of real life nuclear strategy, and am very much a Kahnist.  Something tells me that particular skill set and set of inclinations would be very interesting in this game.

Player roles are decided internally by the factions. Due to the relatively low number of (active) players right now, you'll probably get whatever role you like if you join a side.
Also @Drgong its probably worth updating the inactive lists to better reflect the number of active players.

Basically none, if you want. You can literally just look at it for a few seconds each day if you want.

If a crisis happens, you can choose to spend more time to think things through. Or you can state that you'll go along with whatever one else picked. Or whatever.
