I've a similar problem

I've just started and I can't see the entire system generation and display window
I can scroll right & left but not up and down so the buttons at the bottom of the screen are unreachable.  (and I can't scroll completely to the right either nor can i change the size of the window)

I haven't tried any of the other screens yet (one problem at a time)
Am  I missing something stupidly obvious?

On the resizable windows, there is usually a large black up/down arrow pair. Otherwise, you'll probably need to try 1280x1024...

It sounds like you might be running at 1024x768. Assuming you are using XP, right-click on the XP desktop, select properties, click the settings tab and see what the screen resolution is set to.

This seems like the right place to ask about screen res at 1440 by 900. As I have a monitor that is designed for this setting I end up with screens off the left side of the display area and that can't be accessed. The drivers that acer has for my display don't go over 1440 by 900. This leads me to beg the question, can this game have that setting added with out much trouble?

1440 should be easily wide enough but the 900 height might cause occasional problems. If a window is off the side of the screen, try closing all windows but the main menu bar and then use the Reset Window Positions menu option on the Miscellaneous menu. Let me know if that helps.

i'm having the same problem. unfortunately, my laptop doesn't allow for a resolution higher than 1024x768. does this mean that i'll just have to wait until other resolutions are supported?

are there video drivers available that let you increase the size of your desktop? I think it was called a virtual desktop? While your display size does not change, you can scroll off of the immediate screen.

I have been looking at the possibility of reducing the height of the windows a little so they will fit on a laptop resolution of 1440x900 but unfortunately I can't see me ever being able to reduce both height and width of the major windows to 1024x768.

As I said before, the economics screen is off the top/left of the screen and i can not get it back. All other screens work fine. I have run res at 1280-1024 with no resolution and have deleted game and did a complete re-install without fixing the problem. HELP

Under Miscellaneous is a Reset Window Positions.  You may have to do it several times.  The window you want to reset must be closed.

I've ran into this problem several times (usually when Steve releases a new version).  All I have had to do is uncheck the "Recall windows positions" in the game details, save the changes to that game, and then select that game.  The windows should then all reset to the middle of the screen.  Hope this helps.

Just make sure that you do this with all windows closed.  From my experience, if a window is open it doesn't always reset.
